For campers ages 12 - 17

Get ready to walk in the footsteps of famous figures like Simon Kenton, Little Turtle, and Princess Myeerah with our Pure Country Pioneer. New for 2024 is a coed camp that takes our homesteading know-how, wilderness adventure skills, and the vibrant history of Marmon Valley and creates a unique program full of frontier adventure! Campers will explore many unique adventures as they experience skills used as a frontier homesteader, a colonial longhunter, and a native american.

Morning activities will include:

-Camping skills             -Native American Woodlore
-Shelter building           -Primitive fire building
-Wild edibles                -Open fire hearth cooking
-Archery                       -Tomahawk and knife throwing
-Blacksmithing             -Woodcarving
-Tracking                      -Making your own gear
-Compass navigation   -Riflery

Frontier Pathfinder cabins will participate in all-camp activities, afternoon activities, evening Camp Talk messages, and Bible studies. Like all of our camps at Marmon Valley Ministries, our desire is to help your children develop a real and personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  However, this is a camp geared towards those who love the farm fun of Marmon Valley yet are not as focused on horsemanship.  As such, while there will be opportunities to experience interacting with horses including a trail ride, this specialty camp will not be part of the riding program.

Note: This program replaces the Pure Country Camp with a program that allows both boys and girls an opportunity to experience adventure and frontier themed activities that do not center around horses.
