Matt and Kathy Wiley
Executive Director/Lessons Coordinator

Matt Wiley grew up at Marmon Valley as the son of the owners. He fondly became known as "Wrangler Matt" and his parents handed the reins over for the business and ministry to him and his sister (Jane Olsen) in 1984. He then met his wife, Kathy, and they have been married since 1987; which is the same time Kathy came to Marmon Valley.

Wrangler Matt is the executive director; which entails all kinds of jobs from leading trail rides, to maintenance work, and even to flipping pancakes.

At the Farm, Kathy's jobs are: The lesson program (private and group lessons), Horse care (doctoring, etc.), and for summer camp, she does the morning and afternoon horse programs. Kathy also oversees small-animal care. Needless to say, she likes all kinds of animals.

They have five children: Becca who is married to Ben Adelsberger, Daniel who is engaged to Bre Culmer, Lizzy who is married to Daniel Baughman, Joel who is married to Elise, and the youngest is Josh, who is pursueing a career as a farrier.

Ben and Becca have three children: Adam, Eden, and Ivy, and the Wileys love being grandparents. Some of their favorite things to do are hang out or play games with their family.



Steve and Jane Olsen
Operations Manager/Stables Manager

Steve came to the farm when he married the founders' daughter, Jane (who was raised on the farm). They met at a camp in northern Minnesota while dog sledding, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. They got married in 1995 and raised their sons back at Marmon Valley Farm.

Steve is the Operations Manager. This includes a variety of jobs from managing finances to making hay for the herd of 150 horses. He enjoys spending time with his family and also enjoys hunting, mountain biking, horseback riding, and making hay. 

Jane loved growing up on the farm, and especially enjoyed the horses and animals around camp. She currently operates the public riding stables. During summer camp she takes photos of the campers on their horses every morning. She enjoys volleyball and now has more time to ride her mule, Jubilee since both boys have graduated from being homeschooled. Her favorite activity is spending time with her family, talking, and laughing.

Luke is currently pursuing a career in horse training/ranching in Nevada and Montana. He recently graduated from TVCC in Oregon in horse production and ranch management. Tim is helping around MVF while pursuing a career in welding since graduating from Hobart Welding School.

Zach and Carmen Reinhold
Guest Relations Director/Aquatics Supervisor/Stables

Zach works as the Guest Relations Director at Marmon Valley Farm. Zach grew up in Mexico as a missionary kid and graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a degree in pastoral ministries. While in college, he met his wife Carmen, and they were married on May 28th, 2016. Carmen holds a degree in elementary education. She now works at the farm (when her schedule allows) trail-guiding, and helping to manage the housekeeping department.

Zach began working as summer staff at Marmon Valley in 2012; and He and his wife joined the full-time staff in June of 2016. His hobbies include reading, hiking, and building things. Carmen enjoys taking walks in the woods, doing math, and riding horses. Zach and Carmen also have a son named Jason who loves to laugh, explore, and play with Buck, their dog.

Natalie Frueh
Program Director

Natalie Frueh first started working at Marmon Valley Ministries as a camp counselor in 2009. She served at camp each summer through college as a counselor and assistant program director. After graduating from OSU in 2014 with a degree in Animal Sciences and Agriculture Communications, God opened the door for her to serve on the Farm full-time as the program director. She now manages the summer camp program, organizes the fundraising events, and helps run the sponsored events. In her free time, Natalie likes hanging out with her best friend, taking her dog on hikes, and visiting her nieces and nephews. Natalie also enjoys eating ice cream, collecting used books, and watching shows like Andy Griffith & I love Lucy with friends.

Lauren Hanna
Office Personnel

Lauren first came to Marmon Valley Farm as a 2018 summer camp counselor. Her love for people and farm life and her desire to continue serving in a ministry encouraged her to remain on staff beyond the summer. She grew up in the mountains of Northeast Pennsylvania and went on to earn an Associate degree in Office Systems at Pensacola Christian College in 2017. She enjoys the organizational tasks of the office, but also loves being outdoors and working with animals. Lauren also enjoys spending time with friends, playing volleyball, gardening, riding horses, and reading a good book.

Cheri Wiseman
Office Personnel

Cheri moved into Logan County in 1997 with her husband Mike and their three children. Shortly after, the children asked for a horse. Having no knowledge of horses, going to Marmon Valley seemed like a better option. Thus, began a relationship with the farm. As the children grew, riding lessons and volunteering were a weekly event. Summer camp was a highlight. Cheri even went through CHA training so she could assist in teaching riding lessons. Later when her Children went to college, she thought about returning to work and asked Matt for a reference letter. Instead, Matt asked for to join the office staff. Cheri has enjoyed assisting campers and other visitors for about 6 years.

Ken and Michelle Mohr
Maintenance Director

Ken and Michelle moved to Ohio from northern Wisconsin to Marmon Valley Farm in 1987. They brought their two daughters, Andrea (who was 14 at the time) and April (11), who were excited with the opportunity to learn to ride horses, what a great place to learn to ride. The whole family would come to enjoy taking out trail rides in the first few years. Michelle was in charge of the kitchen and crafts for summer camp, each for a few years. Both daughters become involved as staff when they become older and now are married and have children of their own and live in Columbus, and Marion, Ohio. Ken and Michelle are blessed with five grandsons who enjoy visiting the Farm and their grandparents. Ken has done construction, electrical, plumbing, repair work as well as hay making full time at the Farm for 27 years. Michelle oversaw the waterfront for several years, but now is not involved with working at the Farm. They built their own house in 2014, and enjoy living close to the farm.. Both now love watching their grandsons play various ball games and going on vacations when able.

Amy Crain
Store Manager

Amy Crain has been with Marmon Valley Farm for 10 years. She has been a part of the office, housekeeping, kitchen, and now the store. Her favorite part of working at MVF is getting to talk with and meet so many people. Her favorite time of year, second to summer camp, is Country Christmas! Her daughter Diana also helps in the store and is quick to greet you when you arrive. She also loves to talk with the guests on her favorite activity: a hayride! Amy has two older sons, John, who is engaged to Tess, and Austin, who is married to his wife, Addy. Amy has 2 grandsons, Hayden and Cade, that are just beginning to enjoy the farm. Amy enjoys bringing her grandsons to the farm, Hay riding with Diana and enjoys working with the missions team at Grace Chapel.

Jim Schroeder
Fundraising Coordinator

Jim works on a contract basis, serving as the Development Coordinator for Marmon Valley Ministries; helping with fundraising and communications. The Chicago native started working with us in 2010. Prior to starting his company, JSC, Jim was the Development Director of several Central Ohio ministries. Before entering the non-profit world, he spent 12 years as a reporter and anchor for WCMH-TV in Columbus.

Jim and his wife, Carol, married in 1980 and moved to Ohio in 1982. They attend Vineyard Columbus and have two adult children, Joseph and Ellen, who is married to Corey Sabo.

Jim is an avid fan of the Columbus Blue Jackets and plays ball in the Hilliard and Worthington Senior Softball Leagues.
