Each week of summer camp Marmon Valley Farm
hires a Camp Nurse to supervise all health care issues that arise during a
week of summer camp. Serving as a camp nurse for one week can be
exchanged for a $400 credit toward the price of summer camp tuition. Duties include: checking in and distributing
medications for campers, supervising ill or injured camper in first aid
station, communicating with local medical center to arrange further
treatment if needed, contacting camper parents to report illness or injury.
The Camp Nurse will have time available to work in the horse program, food service
or other area of interest. All
interested applicants (must be an RN or LPN in the state of Ohio) should
call the office 937-593-8000 and complete a staff/volunteer application.
Since nurse will be working with campers, efforts are made to screen
applicants carefully. A background check will be required at your
expense and a Voluntary Disclosure form must also be completed prior to
working.
Nurses may work for more than one week,
